I am all about color and design. Big, bold, beautiful color and stylized design!
In 4th grade, I won 1st place for the fire awareness poster coloring contest throughout the entire school district. I worked really hard on the piece. I colored it with crayons on the hot concrete stairs leading up to the front door of our home. Then I rubbed it smooth to blend the colors. The crayon lumps were gone and it was glossy from the waxy crayons.
In addition, my friends and I made a deal. They would draw pictures. I would take their drawings and color them with crayons, colored pencils and paints. I was teased I did not stay in the lines and cried over it. I laugh over it now and think of it as a life lesson that would aid me in my artistic career. I am true to myself today with bright, bold color and still love the glitz of high gloss.
About Good Girl Designs
Meet my dog, Lucy. She was a rescue dog I brought home in 2002 and my angel. In getting to know her, I learned Lucy really rescued me by giving me the vision to produce art. My first paintings were pets.
We taught Lucy good manners using positive training commands and love. Hence, my company name, "Good Girl" Designs.
I hope you enjoy my colorful paintings and blogging about art, inspiration and creativity. If you have time, please sign my guest book or post a comment at the end of one of my blog topics on either my art blog or pet blog.

The Next Chapter
In 2017, we were sent a new angle, Sally. She is a lively guardian of joy, a rocket of a disc catcher and protector of us from all things that crawl or slither through our yard. She has brought happiness back into our lives and restarted my art journey. Life is a party again!
